The New Teacher Induction Program is an evolving professional development support that addresses the comprehensive needs of teachers new to our district. Our mentors equip teachers with the latest research, practices, and strategies for engaging and managing students. The NTIP is committed to increasing educator effectiveness, improving instructional quality, and working to achieve equity and excellence in the field of education.

The academy gives teachers, new to Wicomico County, an overview of the district's systems and expectations. We also provide support with lesson planning, classroom management, technology implementation, gradebook assistance, and more. All teachers new to Wicomico County Public Schools are encouraged to attend the Summer Academy.

New Teacher Induction Course (1 credit course)
The New Teacher Induction Course is a requirement for all teachers new to Wicomico County Public Schools. Teachers receive credit to be used toward their certification renewal.
