Lavion Bratten
On July 1, 2020, Mrs. Lavion Bratten became Principal at the school system's Schumaker Complex, in charge of Evening High School, Online Learning Lab and the English Learner Language Support Program. Prior to this appointment, she served as Assistant Principal at Wicomico High School for seven years, and Dean of Students for one year. Before joining the WiHi administrative team, Mrs. Bratten was a business education teacher at Wicomico High School for 6 years. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Mrs. Bratten also received a Masters degree in Education through her graduate work at Walden University, as well as, a Masters degree in School Leadership and Instruction through her graduate work at Wilmington University. Mrs. Bratten enjoys working with students and advocating for them. She values and embraces education, and understands that education is not a one size fits all. Her beliefs and passion will strengthen her ability to meet the educational needs of every student. Her dedication to working with parents, staff, and community leaders to ensure every student success is impeccable.
