Wicomico High School Athletics Department is happy to announce our new partnership with Vernon Powell Shoes. VP Shoes will be sponsoring our Student-Athlete of the Month Award for the 2023-2024 school year. Each month, one male and one female recipient will be chosen for going above and beyond both on the field, and in the classroom. These deserving student-athletes will each receive a $30 gift certificate to VP Shoes! Congratulations to our September VP Shoes Student-Athletes of the Month, Kaniyah Outlaw and Jemsley Exume. Kaniyah “Keke” Outlaw has worked hard to develop leadership skills and fulfill the role of Co-Captain of the Wi-Hi Cheer Team. Her demeanor, work ethic, dedication, and energy have increased considerably since her sophomore year of cheer. Kaniyaha has demonstrated that she is a team player and willing to do whatever it takes to support and lead her team members. As a freshmen, Jemsley Exume has made an immediate impact on the Boys Varsity Soccer team. Jemsley shows up everyday and brings out the best of the players around him. Jemsley’s work ethic continues in the classroom, where he has demonstrated all the characteristics of a successful student.
